Heat Resistant Paint on Stove Doors: Renew Compatible Metal

Black Vitcas heat resistant paint for compatible substrates

Planning the renewal of a metal door surface is worth doing together with checking its operation. The paint can improve the appearance of a compatible substrate, but the gasket, glazing, and mechanism remain separate parts. Start with a cold appliance and follow the instructions for its operation and disassembly.

Separate the surface from the equipment

Inspect the coating, corrosion marks, and areas where the metal is damaged. Check whether the part can be restored in the intended manner. Before application, identify the surfaces intended for painting and those that need protection from paint.

Vitcas heat resistant paint has described uses on appropriate substrates and resistance up to 800°C. It is not a product approved for direct contact with food. The paint temperature does not constitute parameters for glass, handles, or gaskets either.

Prepare the proper substrate

Maintain cleanliness, dryness, and the required metal preparation. Remove non-durable residues using a method that does not alter the geometry of the element. The instructions for this paint indicate application without a primer; do not add a random layer from another product.

Black stove rope and flat glass tape have their own roles in compatible seals. If they are worn, schedule a separate replacement per door. The paint coating does not restore the compression or the connection of the material ends.

Complete preparation before firing

Apply paint according to the spray instructions and workplace conditions. Consider drying and required surface preparation. The similarity of a dry appearance does not automatically mean that all stages indicated for the product are completed.

Record the product and the renewal date. After the planned preparation, inspect the metal cold and also check the operation of the doors. When changing the surface later, compare the substrate and working conditions, instead of treating additional painting as a solution to every door defect.
